Last week’s snow made Camp Hanover a temporary winter wonderland. Did your hometown receive snow? Did you go sledding and make a snowman or stay inside with a good book?

Falling flakes are a beautiful sight, but not everyone is a fan of this season. Icy winds and less daylight can mean fewer opportunities to get out of the house. Some people even feel more sadness in January and February. How do you feel about winter?

In moments of worry or concern, certain individuals have a wonderful ability to make us feel safe and comforted. Often, it’s those who know us well—such as our family and close friends—who can offer this solace. They understand our needs, whether it’s a warm hug, a listening ear, or simply being there.

God’s love can comfort us, too.  When you are feeling down or sad, remember that you are never alone.

This year, we pray your life reflects the joy of someone who knows they’re loved deeply by God. May your laughter be louder, your prayers deeper, and your faith stronger as you trust in God this year.
