Garden Work Party
March 9, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Our garden has grown! With a larger footprint, more visitors will be able to experience the joy of planting and harvesting food. Help ready the garden by prepping the raised garden beds. We’ll be staining and installing the garden boxes, then filling them with soil. In appreciation for your service, we’ll feed you lunch! Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
CHASE Open House
March 16, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Help visitors learn about Camp Hanover and our after-school program, CHASE. Volunteers will help with stations that guests can visit, including campfire cooking, nature art, and microscope exploration. We also welcome volunteers to lead tours and help instructors at the climbing wall.
Field Trips
April 10, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
April 11, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Help us create a meaningful watershed experience for Caroline County Public Schools students. Volunteers will lead a workshop station for a group of fourth-grade students and their chaperones. The lesson and materials are provided for you as well as information/ training on how to lead the workshop for the students.
